Do you want to go to Acapulco for Spring Break?  Come with us as we go and partner with and orphanage there, Casa Hogar Del Nino de Acapulco. This one week trip is organized through Mission To the World (MTW), our denomination's missions agency.  Elliott has been there before, and Chuck Duggan, an elder at FPC Macon, will be going on the trip with us and he's been there more than 10 times!  If you want to go, give Elliott your $100 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit by Wednesday, October 8.  Check out the following links to learn more.

Small Groups Launch!

Small groups are here!  Small groups are a great way to meet and get to know other students you might otherwise not, and it's also a great way to go deeper in the Bible and in your relationship with God in community.  Small groups are for everyone, they are a safe place to process, and they are safe place for AWKWARD!

  • Galatians (Girls Only) - Thursdays at 7pm
    • Marin G. and Courtney F.
    • "In this short letter, Paul outlines the bombshell truth that the gospel is the A to Z of the Christian life. It is not only the way to enter the kingdom; it is the way to live as part of the kingdom. It is the way Christ transforms people, churches and communities." - Tim Keller
  • Holiness of God (Guys Only) - Mondays at 8pm
    • Zach S. and Parker B.
    • “We tend to have mixed feelings about the holy. There is a sense in which we are at the same time attracted to it and repulsed by it. Something draws us toward it, while at the same time we want to run away from it. We can’t seem to decide which way we want it. Part of us yearns for the holy, while part of us despises it. We can’t live with it, and we can’t live without it.” - R.C. Sproul
  • Taking God at His Word - Tuesdays at 6pm
    • James H.
    • "Why the bible is KNOWABLE, NECESSARY, and ENOUGH, and what that means for you and me..." - Kevin DeYoung
  • R-2-D-Who? (Round 2 in Doctor, Who?)
    • Caylie P. and Aaron T.
    • A small group to dive deeper into the Gospel of Luke and the applications from the previous week's sermon in the "Doctor, Who?" series at Large Group

Fall Semester in Full Swing

Welcome back! The 2014-15 school year is upon us, and we cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for Mercer, RUF and you!  Large Group begins Wednesday night, August 20 in Penfield at 8:30pm.  This semester our sermon series is "Doctor, Who? - A Study Luke."  Join us each week as we study the gospel according to Luke and find out just who Jesus was, what he said and did.

We are also looking forward to having a vibrant small group ministry up and going.  We'll be announcing our small groups and having sign ups the first two weeks of large group before they all launch after Labor Day.

If you're new to Mercer or RUF and want to plug in, don't hesitate to get in touch with Elliott!
